My Role

I designed the full tradeshow backdrops for 2023, 2024, and 2025, as well as table sticker graphics for 2025. My focus was to create bold, product centric visuals that engaged industrial audiences while maintaining RayFu’s brand identity. All visuals were created in Adobe Illustrator, optimized for print and large-format readability.

Context : RayFu participates in international tradeshows across the U.S. to connect with existing clients, and reach new markets.
Each year’s (2023, 2024, 2025) booth design acted as a visual statement piece using large format graphics and storytelling to express the brand’s technical precision and reliability.

Problem : Before my involvement, booth visuals were generic and lacked engagement. RayFu needed displays that could stand out in competitive halls while aligning with each year’s product marketing goals. Each design cycle required an entirely new concept tied to the featured product focus.

Solution

Over three consecutive years, I developed tradeshow backdrops that evolved with RayFu’s product focus and brand direction. Each design was concept driven and tailored to the event’s theme ranging from the reversible “Full Speed Ahead / Raysing the Roof” backdrop in 2023 that highlighted roofing and structural screws, to the illustrative “Creation of Screw” design in 2024 symbolizing innovation and craftsmanship, and finally the industrial container-inspired “Built for Height, Built for Future” concept in 2025 that unified all booth and table graphics under one cohesive system. Across all years, the designs emphasized clarity, realism, and large-format readability, turning functional spaces into strong brand storytelling environments.

2023
Full Speed Ahead & Raysing the Roof Reversible Backdrop

Clean, high-contrast compositions showcasing the company’s range—from roofing to decking, concrete, and stainless steel screws.

2024
The Creation
of the Screw

Inspired by Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam, reinterpreted for the fastener industry.

2025
Built for Height,
Built for Future

Shipping-container-themed backdrop and table sticker design connecting roofing, decking, concrete, and stainless steel fastener product lines.

Conclusion

Through three consecutive years of tradeshow design, I learned to balance creativity with real-world production constraints—adapting ideas to print feasibility, spatial layout, and booth architecture. This experience deepened my understanding of large-format communication, visual hierarchy, and how to craft designs that are both eye-catching and functionally effective in high-traffic industrial settings.
