My Role

I led the full brand identity development for Kimiko, defining the visual direction and creating the logo, color palette, and typography system. I designed the main and secondary signage, staff uniforms, packaging (plastic bags, paper bags, cups, and delivery stickers), and all menu formats including digital TV menus for all Colombia locations, print menus, and QR menus. I also prepared production-ready files and coordinated with vendors to ensure consistency across multiple locations. Overall, I built a scalable visual system that unified the brand as it expanded.

Context : Kimiko is a family-run Asian street-food restaurant expanding from its frist Costa Rica ocation to three new stores in Bogota, Colombia

Problem : As the brand grew, Kimiko needed a cohesive identity system that could scale across store front signage, uniforms, packaging, and menus

I developed a comphrehensive identity system designed for clarity, scalability, and everyday use

Brand Foundation

A distintive, modern logo suitable for signage, packaging, and uniforms while streamlined color palette balancing boldness and friendliness. A typography system optimized across digital menus and print.

Environmental &
Operational Design

Main storefront signage and secondary signage for interior use. Staff uniforms create cohesive look across all locations.

Packaging System

Plastic and paper bag designs for both dine-in and delivery (Rappi). A branded sticker used to seal delivery bags and branded cups with simple,recognizable graphics.

Menu System

Consistent layouts across digital menus and printed menus. Easily updatable templates to support menu changes and multiple locations

Conclusion

This project transformed Kimiko from a growing restaurant into a fully unified brand. By creating a scalable, flexible identity system, the company now maintains consistency across packaging, signage, uniforms, menus, and delivery touchpoints. The updated visual language gives the brand a strong foundation—while preserving the fun, energetic street-food personality at its core.
