My Role

I led the packaging redesign from concept to production, including dieline development, visual direction, layout system design, and color reduction for cost-efficiency for two main product lines: self-drilling screws and collated screws. I created multiple box sizes across two colorways (blue/white and kraft), developed iconography, built production-ready files, and produced 3D mockups for presentation and accuracy checks. The final system was designed to scale easily for additional fastener types and future product categories.

Context : RayFu is fastener manufacturer with a global customer base.

Problem : RayFu’s original packaging used inconsistent colors, complex graphics, and lacked a clear hierarchy—making it difficult for customers to identify product type, size, and specifications.

Solution

I developed a modular packaging system designed around clarity, brand consistency, and manufacturing efficiency and labels in canva for non-design members of the RAYFU team to edit the label for different products.

Second drafts I experimented with different slogans and main graphics.

3C was chosen.

The last step was to convert the chosen draft into blue and white.

Conclusion

The new packaging system transformed RayFu’s boxes into a modern, cost-efficient, and scalable product presentation. By building a unified layout framework, simplifying visual elements, and preparing production-friendly files, the brand now has a strong foundation for future product lines, reorders, and global distribution.This system not only improves customer experience but also significantly streamlines internal design and manufacturing processes.
